Provides hands-on business and administrative support to the Colleague Engagement team. Responsibilities include coordinating plans, priorities, meetings, governance materials, reports, events, suppliers, budgets, action logs, and stakeholder communications. The role also supports process improvement, quality checking, colleague engagement activity, and leadership follow-through while maintaining accurate, timely information across multiple priorities.

Manage data governance across Retail Products by defining critical data assets, maintaining metadata repositories and data dictionaries, documenting lineage and quality rules, profiling data, and improving data accuracy. Build stakeholder relationships, promote data management best practices, develop value cases for metadata improvements, implement governance tools, and coach a small team of data professionals.

Implement and embed data governance controls for financial crime systems: develop data dictionaries, lineage, and quality scorecards; resolve data quality issues; partner with subject-matter experts to improve analytics, reporting and decision-making to protect members from economic crime.

Supports financial crime reporting through data migration, Power BI development, data testing, validation, quality assurance, and ongoing management information delivery. The role involves translating legacy Excel-based reporting into modern Power BI outputs, investigating data gaps, maintaining regulatory and internal reporting, and following data governance, risk, and control frameworks. Collaboration with Operations, Governance, and Second Line of Defence stakeholders is central.

Maintain and update regulatory models in SAS Viya production, deliver critical month-end reporting data, and support data quality processes. Liaise with Credit Risk stakeholders, implement governed production-code changes, manage incidents through ServiceNow, and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements. The role also contributes to data governance, automation, continuous improvement, cloud warehouse initiatives, and future Virgin Money integration projects.

Conduct internal audit testing and assess control effectiveness using data analytics. Identify trends and anomalies with Python, Databricks, SQL, SAS, and generative AI. Develop repeatable analytics solutions, self-service tools, and innovative audit methodologies while reviewing data insights work. Support internal audit strategy, improve data-led processes, and upskill colleagues in data analytics and coding practices.

Independently validates lending strategies, decision systems, controls, and customer outcomes using SAS and complex data analysis. Investigates system behavior, defects, data quality issues, and control weaknesses across strategic and production environments. Produces assurance documentation and management reporting, communicates technical findings to diverse stakeholders, supports governance forums, and deputizes for the Manager when required.

Manage business banking applications from submission through account opening, completing Know Your Customer and Know Your Business due diligence, assessing onboarding risks, and securing required approvals. Maintain multiple application pipelines, communicate with customers throughout the process, and support commercial growth while ensuring regulatory and customer safety requirements are met.
