Join Howden’s Surety team in a permanent graduate role supporting the placement of surety bonds for major commercial projects. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts and financial records, assessing risk, preparing client materials, supporting meetings, and building relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders. The 18-month programme develops technical, commercial, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. No insurance experience is required, but applicants must be recent or final-year Law or Finance students with unrestricted UK work rights.

Supports UK&I Retail and central functions in embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Provides risk advice, monitors risk appetite and metrics, leads assessments, strengthens controls, manages reporting, conducts stress and scenario testing, identifies emerging risks, delivers training, and supports projects and change initiatives.

Produces reports, dashboards, and recommendations for senior stakeholders while collaborating across broking, underwriting, and delivery teams to strengthen partnerships and improve commercial outcomes across insurance, reinsurance, and underwriting.

Sell commercial insurance to B2B clients by winning new business, building long-term relationships, and developing opportunities through marketing, networking and consultative advice. Work with the Branch Manager to meet targets and advise clients on appropriate products and solutions while progressing professional qualifications.

Own the AI and Automation product strategy, roadmap, discovery, delivery, adoption, and value realization across the insurance customer journey. Identify and prioritize use cases, translate business needs into product requirements, lead complex transformation programs, build commercial opportunity pipelines, and partner with Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Risk, market leaders, and branch teams. Drive responsible AI adoption through training, governance, practical propositions, and measurable operational and commercial outcomes.

Ten-week reinsurance internship providing exposure to broking, cyber analytics, and strategic advisory. Interns will support meaningful projects, learn how reinsurance programmes are designed and negotiated, prepare client presentation materials, shadow industry meetings, analyze information, and collaborate on early-career projects.
