As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure regulatory compliance across product development and business operations. You will assess regulatory requirements for expansion, manage compliance policies, and conduct audits, providing strategic guidance for sustainable growth.

Manage UK and EU financial services licensing, regulatory engagement, public policy, advocacy, and legislative monitoring. Draft consultation responses, position papers, and internal advice; represent Teya with regulators, trade associations, and policymakers; and advise Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Commercial teams on regulatory matters.

Own complex analytical problems across credit, acquiring, and business account products. Build NPV, unit economics, customer lifetime value, metrics, and experimentation frameworks using SQL and Python. Analyze customer behavior, product performance, and portfolio economics to support pricing, segmentation, product strategy, and investment decisions. Partner with cross-functional teams, communicate insights to senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and improve analytical methodologies and business performance.

Own the end-to-end merchant onboarding funnel from signed offer to active transacting member. Identify funnel leakages, build data-driven roadmaps, improve first-pass approvals and activation metrics, collaborate with Risk, Engineering, Design and Sales, and use AI tools and automations to speed delivery.

Leads managers responsible for complaints, escalations, technical support, and operational quality. Owns customer operations KPIs, service levels, resolution times, complaint volumes, and quality metrics. Drives end-to-end process and quality improvements, translates operational root causes into Product roadmap input, and improves the use of data and technology. This senior leadership role develops managers and serves as a trusted cross-functional partner.

Lead a four-person complaints and escalations team handling formal merchant complaints and Financial Ombudsman Service cases. Ensure fair, timely, evidence-based, and compliant resolutions; proactively identify cases at risk of escalation; maintain quality standards; analyze complaint trends; provide root-cause insights to Product, Support, and Risk; and report volumes, outcomes, and emerging risks to senior leadership while maintaining audit readiness.
