Leads Wise’s Finance Systems engineering organization and technical strategy. Owns ERP modernization, finance platform architecture, SOX engineering controls, operational maturity, and AI-enabled automation. Partners with Finance, Product, and CFO stakeholders to deliver scalable systems for close acceleration, intercompany operations, AP/AR, and statutory reporting. Builds and develops a senior engineering team while driving resilience, auditability, deployment improvements, and long-term transformation.

Lead the design, scalability, and execution of Wise Europe's financial crime compliance framework for platform partnerships. Oversee correspondent banking partner onboarding, ongoing monitoring, product launches, risk mitigation, control effectiveness, and key risk indicators. Advise Product, Operations, AMLCO, senior leadership, regulators, and external partners on complex AML decisions. Communicate strategic risk insights to the Board, defend compliance standards, and coach compliance specialists and cross-functional teams.

Leads an engineering team building Wise’s current account and everyday banking products. The role also includes mentoring junior colleagues and solving financial crime problems at global scale.

Partners with senior stakeholders to drive financial planning, headcount and operating-cost forecasting, cost analysis, financial modeling, and variance reporting. Builds frameworks and insights to support strategic decisions, cost controls, and sustainable growth. Owns financial narratives and communications for department leads and leadership while improving forecasting accuracy and financial processes.

Build and scale Wise’s recommendation platform, APIs, onboarding experiences, and reward mechanisms. Develop distributed systems and customer-facing product experiences while collaborating with product managers, data scientists, analysts, designers, and engineers. Own projects end to end, write testable code, apply best engineering practices, improve team processes, and use customer-focused, data-driven decisions to address pain points.

Coordinate and execute internal audits across operations and safeguarding/CASS risk portfolios. Plan audit engagements, assess risks, develop continuous monitoring and automated audit routines, report findings, and track recommendation implementation. Manage internal and external audit teams, support annual audit planning and budgeting, strengthen governance and controls, and build stakeholder relationships. The role also helps shape the growing Internal Audit function’s methodology and operating model in a regulated fintech environment.

Analyze customer, product, and market data to identify friction and new sending opportunities. Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to size opportunities, prioritize features, define success metrics, design experiments, and evaluate product changes. Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations that guide product strategy and decisions. The role also contributes to launching new products, improving instrumentation, and building reliable data transformations and pipelines.

Lead product analytics for financial crime and AML prevention. The role develops metrics, dashboards, risk and customer-experience frameworks, and analytical solutions to detect and mitigate financial crime. It partners with product managers, designers, data scientists, engineers, and operations teams to identify opportunities, recommend features, rules, and models, and turn complex data into actionable decisions.
