Software engineering intern building and delivering projects for Cloudflare’s global network over a 12–14 week term. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally, working with an experienced mentor, developing software at Internet scale, presenting project results, and participating in professional development and company networking activities. Interns may also contribute to Cloudflare’s blog and media programs.

Build automated GRC solutions and maintain the GRC platform; architect AI governance for autonomous agents; support audit readiness (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, FedRAMP) via automated drift detection and self-healing; and integrate security across Legal, People, Engineering, and Finance to enable developer-friendly compliance.

Conduct vulnerability scanning and in-depth analysis, triage and prioritize findings, produce remediation guidance, track remediation progress, and ensure processes and evidence meet DoD IL4 and FedRAMP compliance requirements while collaborating with engineering and compliance teams.

Lead product security assessments, threat model features, triage and own vulnerability lifecycle from bug bounty, SAST, fuzzing, and pentests. Build AI/LLM-driven automation and tooling to scale triage and enrichment, mentor engineers, and influence security across distributed cloud products.

Lead and automate Cloudflare's Deal Desk by architecting AI-driven approval workflows, structuring complex enterprise deals, advising Sales on pricing/terms, tuning AI agents, and partnering cross-functionally to reduce friction and improve deal velocity and long-term value.

Conduct threat models and security reviews for Cloudflare products, triage and manage vulnerability lifecycle (bug bounties, SAST, fuzzing, pentests), build AI/LLM-driven automation tooling for triage and enrichment, coordinate pentests and remediation with engineering, and act as the product security point of contact.

Manage litigation matters globally, formulate strategies, work with external counsel, and address legal issues including intellectual property and regulatory matters.

Own and develop distributed database systems powering R2, Durable Objects, and Workers KV. Implement features, ensure correctness via review and testing, tune performance, optimize data placement and replication across edge topology, and build observability and tooling to operate storage globally across Cloudflare's network.

Lead and grow a team building and operating the Workers runtime at the edge. Own reliability, release safety, architectural evolution, and performance/security improvements for a high-throughput multi-tenant runtime implemented in C++/Rust and WebAssembly. Partner with adjacent teams, hire and mentor engineers, and balance customer-facing features with foundational investments.

Join the Packet Processing team to own and evolve Spectrum, Cloudflare's L4 reverse proxy. Work on the edge dataplane and control plane (Go), integrate cross-dataplane systems, improve observability and operational excellence, participate in on-call and incident response, and help shape the product roadmap for large-scale TCP/UDP traffic, TLS termination, and DDoS-protected services.
