Lead and deliver actuarial consulting projects for general insurance clients, including capital modelling, reserving, pricing, risk management, model development, client engagement, project management, and business development while mentoring junior staff and ensuring governance and quality.

The role involves supporting clients with insurance investment and ALM, winning projects, and delivering complex assignments while maintaining strong client relationships.

Provide DB pension actuarial consulting: perform individual member calculations and valuations, review client reports and member communications, support client meetings and projects, manage client work allocation, mentor juniors, conduct research, develop practice tools, and assist with surveys and statistical analysis.

Administer defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes, perform complex benefit calculations, check colleague work for compliance, authorise payments, manage pension payroll and year-end returns, liaise with regulators (DWP, HMRC, TPR, ICO), monitor scheme cashflow and investments, and support/train junior team members.

Coordinate large or complex pension data initiatives, check colleagues' work for accuracy and compliance, validate calculations, build testing matrices, produce trustee status reports, liaise with client managers, mentor staff, and ensure projects deliver on time and within budget.

Provide technical pension administration expertise: advise specialist and client teams, attend client meetings, peer-review complex member and scheme calculations, support members, produce technical input for reports and projects, and deliver ad-hoc training and query resolution for the administration team.

Support and manage complex DB and DC pension scheme projects, check colleagues' work for accuracy and compliance, provide stakeholder updates, analyse and correct scheme data, build calculation matrices for testing system outputs, and run projects around regular scheme events like pension increases, annual benefit statements and payrolls.

Lead and manage SIPP customer communications strategy and delivery across verbal, digital and paper channels. Own Consumer Duty communication accountabilities, set standards and best practice, ensure clarity and outcome-focused content, consider behavioural biases, and partner with senior stakeholders to enable informed customer decisions and consistent distributor communications.
