Lead and scale Engine's business development across a defined European cluster: own market entry and sales execution, build and manage executive banking relationships, close complex SaaS deals, coordinate with central teams on solutions and propositions, provide regional market feedback, and scale local integrated teams. Provide legal support on employment lifecycle issues, SMCR and regulatory matters, TUPE, compensation (malus/clawback), international projects, and training. Manage an employment lawyer, instruct external counsel when needed, and work closely with People, Reward, corporate and commercial teams to deliver timely legal solutions.

Provide second-line regulatory compliance advice and independent oversight across Starling’s products and services. Lead and coach a small advice team, support development of conduct frameworks and policies, challenge first-line controls, and assist in monthly compliance reporting to ensure regulatory and conduct risk management and good customer outcomes.

Manage daily regulatory transaction reporting (EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR), resolve exceptions, support end-to-end treasury trade lifecycle across FX, Repo, Fixed Income and OTC Derivatives, drive process automation, and coordinate with Front Office, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Legal to ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of projects.
