We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead the strategy, performance, and client relationships across a portfolio of paid search accounts. You’ll combine deep Google Ads and Microsoft Ads expertise with strong strategic thinking to deliver measurable growth for clients, while also managing and developing junior team members.
You’ll work across a broad range of clients - from fast-growing SMBs to established enterprise brands - developing tailored paid search strategies, driving innovation, and ensuring campaigns consistently deliver against performance goals.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning paid search strategy end-to-end, driving account growth, and using testing, automation, and data-led insights to improve performance at scale.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and lead client calls
- Communicate paid search performance insights, recommendations, and strategy clearly and confidently
- Provide proactive updates on campaign performance, risks, and growth opportunities
- Develop a deep understanding of client goals, markets, competitors, and commercial priorities
- Act as the key escalation point for paid search performance and strategy within accounts
- Own the strategy, setup, and optimisation of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- Ensure campaigns are built and managed to best practice standards (structure, keywords, bidding, tracking, and creative)
- Develop structured testing roadmaps to continuously improve performance
- Analyse campaign performance data and translate insights into clear actions
- Manage budgets and forecasts to ensure campaigns meet or exceed client KPIs (CPA, ROAS, revenue, etc.)
- Stay ahead of platform updates, automation features, and wider paid media trends
- Ensure QA processes are followed across all paid search activity
- Identify and deliver opportunities to grow client accounts through increased budgets, expanded scope, or new paid search solutions
- Contribute paid search strategy and insights to new business pitches
- Support the development of innovative tools, processes, and automation approaches to improve performance and efficiency
- Proactively identify commercial opportunities across existing accounts and act on them
- Lead on paid search strategy for smaller new business opportunities
- Mentor and support junior team members in their paid search development
- Provide clear feedback and guidance on campaign builds, optimisation, and strategy
- Ensure effective prioritisation and delegation of workload across shared accounts
- Oversee the quality of work delivered by junior team members
- Share learnings, insights, and best practices across the wider team
- Support development of team capability through training and knowledge sharing
- Strong experience managing paid search campaigns (Google Ads and Microsoft Ads)
- Proven ability to lead paid search strategy and deliver performance growth
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent optimisation and problem-solving skills
- Confident client leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
- Strong understanding of bidding strategies, keyword strategy, and account structure
- Commercial awareness with a focus on account growth
- Interest in automation, AI, and the future of paid search
- Work across a diverse portfolio of paid search clients and industries
