We’re looking for a Senior Paid Search Manager to lead strategy, performance, and client relationships across a portfolio of high-value paid search accounts. You’ll combine deep platform expertise with strategic thinking to drive measurable growth, while managing and developing junior team members.
You’ll work across a mix of complex and large-scale accounts, shaping forward-thinking search strategies, driving innovation, and ensuring campaigns consistently exceed performance goals.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys pushing performance through testing and automation, and wants to play a key role in evolving our paid search proposition.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership- Own and build strong, long-term relationships with key client stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor, leading client calls and strategic conversations
- Communicate performance insights, recommendations, and future strategy clearly and confidently
- Provide proactive updates on performance, actions, and growth opportunities
- Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, objectives, competitors, and market landscape
- Act as a point of escalation for client queries and challenges
- Lead the strategy, setup, optimisation, and ongoing management of paid search campaigns across platforms
- Ensure campaigns are executed to a high standard, following best practices and robust QA processes
- Build clear, forward-looking testing roadmaps to drive continuous performance improvement
- Analyse performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Own budget management and forecasting, ensuring alignment with client goals
- Independently manage large-scale projects and strategic initiatives across accounts
- Stay ahead of platform developments, automation, and industry trends, embedding these into account strategy
- Drive innovation in areas such as AI, bidding strategies, feed optimisation, and creative testing
- Contribute to the evolution of internal best practices, processes, and paid search proposition
- Identify and lead opportunities to grow client accounts through increased investment or expanded services
- Support cross-sell initiatives across wider digital channels
- Contribute to new business pitches, leading paid search strategy, audits, and forecasting
- Help develop new products, solutions, or scalable approaches to drive revenue and performance
- Manage and mentor junior team members, supporting their development and performance
- Provide regular, constructive feedback and clear direction on campaign execution and strategy
- Support team prioritisation and effective workload management across accounts
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure high-quality output and team efficiency
- Share learnings, insights, and best practices with the wider team to elevate overall capability
- Strong experience managing and scaling paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads)
- Proven ability to lead strategy across complex or high-spend accounts
- A highly analytical mindset with a passion for testing, optimisation, and performance
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing environments
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
- Strong interest in AI, automation, and the future of paid media
- Work across media, data, and technology in a highly collaborative environment
