This Transaction Management role will be working closely with our prestigious client, the C&W Programme team, and C&W specialist Service Line teams, to manage and coordinate the acquisition of land and buildings for various Programmes across the UK.The role will require the individual to work closely with Civil Servants, stakeholders, and C&W colleagues to identify opportunities for these facilities, support the agreement of terms, conduct due diligence, and secure planning permission, all against the clients’ targets.
The Programme offers an opportunity to work on a very high-profile government account reporting to Senior Civil Servants, with a high level of Ministerial oversight. The role provides a great platform for developing public sector advisory skills.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and liaise with other Cushman & Wakefield service lines and colleagues to provide a complete service to the client.
- Provide Transactional Management support, overseeing the delivery of a variety of transactions including acquisitions and disposals of both leasehold and freehold interests
- Day-to-day liaison with assigned client representatives.
- Attend weekly client reporting meetings.
- Collaborate with both internal and external agency teams to identify suitable opportunities for the programme.
- To ensure sound advice is given to the client in a timely fashion, to identify risks early, and to ensure that the client is kept safe.
- Be able to explain advice or recommendations to the client.
- Support and help drive both internal and external processes.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Strong interpersonal skills and passionate about delivering customer service. A good communicator, spoken & written
- Comfortable with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook and managing/handling data.
- An understanding or willingness to learn how central government works.
- Up-to-date knowledge of legislation regarding property management and the Landlord & Tenant Act.
Transaction Management
- Likely to possess 2 years (minimum) plus post-qualification experience.
- Previously worked in the property/transaction management team.
- High level of organisational skills and ability to prioritise work.
- Market Knowledge and Contacts.
- Knowledge of real estate sectors and knowledge of UK markets.
Qualifications
- Degree level estate management qualification or equivalent is desired.
- Membership of RICS.
- Clear thinker, organised and able to handle the pressure of a complex client and Programmes.
