About this role
Join Ericsson Antenna Systems Rosenheim (Germany) as an RF Propagation and Antenna Engineer for Mobile Network Performance Simulation, where you'll combine antenna expertise and system-level thinking to improve real-world network performance. You will investigate how base station antenna products and emerging network developments affect coverage, capacity and user experience, and contribute to the development of simulation tools used for system analysis. Working closely with R&D, product managers and cross-functional teams, you will drive studies on antenna and system requirements and translate technical findings into actionable product and network recommendations.
What you will do
  • Perform technical investigations on the performance of base station antenna products and their influence on the network performance and new developments in the network
  • Contribute to the development of network simulation tools for system analysis
  • Drive and participate in studies regarding requirements of base station antennas and system solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new challenges and opportunities for antenna developments
  • Support product managers, R&D, business, and market units regarding product documentation, development, technical customer requirements, and further requests.

The skills you bring:
  • A Master's or above in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of channel modelling, cellular networks and MIMO systems
  • Advanced Python and MATLAB knowledge
  • Experience in antenna simulations software like HFSS, CST
  • Experience in developing statistical models and solutions for predictive data analysis and machine learning
  • Good understanding of 3GPP standard and cellular networks
  • Passive intermodulation
  • Strong understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) and antenna principles
  • Understanding of base station antenna architectures, especially AAS (Active Antenna System) products
  • Scientific expertise or work experience in research projects is an advantage
  • Work experience across interdisciplinary teams
  • Teamwork mentality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and spoken communications skill in English. German language knowledge is an advantage.
