Mastercard Academy is Mastercard's global learning platform, helping financial institutions, businesses and professionals build the capabilities needed to succeed in an increasingly digital economy. Bringing together Mastercard's expertise with leading external thought leaders, the Academy delivers learning experiences, certifications and insights that enable customers to accelerate growth, strengthen resilience and prepare for the future of payments and commerce.
This team is responsible for shaping the long-term strategy and growth of Mastercard Academy globally by:
Defining the product vision, value proposition and commercialization strategy
Driving long-term engagement, adoption and customer lifetime value across Academy products
Identifying strategic learning priorities and thought leadership opportunities aligned to Mastercard's business strategy
Scaling innovative learning solutions across regions and customer segments
Leading the Academy product portfolio, strategic initiatives and multi-year P&L growth
Primary Responsibilities
The Director, Product will be responsible for driving the long-term growth and strategic evolution of Mastercard Academy Professional by:
Define and execute product strategy, roadmap and commercialization plans that drive sustainable revenue growth and customer engagement across the Academy Professional portfolio.
Identify emerging industry trends, capability gaps and customer needs to develop new learning products, certifications and thought leadership initiatives.
Partner with internal business leaders, product teams and external industry experts to create differentiated learning experiences that reinforce Mastercard's position as a trusted advisor.
Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Services, Consulting, Marketing, Sales, Regional teams and Technology to accelerate Academy growth.
Own the product lifecycle-from market opportunity assessment and business case development through launch, optimization and portfolio evolution.
Use customer insights, learning analytics and market intelligence to continuously improve engagement, adoption, learner outcomes and commercial performance.
Develop scalable go-to-market strategies that enable regional teams to successfully position, sell and grow Academy offerings globally.
Drive innovation across digital learning experiences including certifications, simulations, AI-enabled learning and personalized learning pathways.
Build strategic partnerships that expand Academy reach, credibility and market impact.
Manage and grow the Academy product P&L, balancing long-term strategic investments with commercial performance and operational excellence.
Act as the voice of the customer while championing the Academy vision across Mastercard.
About You
Experience leading strategic product initiatives with measurable commercial impact, preferably within learning, technology or professional services.
Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy and execute against multi-year growth objectives.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing or influencing product P&Ls, business cases and investment decisions.
Ability to identify market opportunities and translate customer insights into scalable products and experiences.
Experience working across highly matrixed global organizations and influencing senior stakeholders.
Excellent strategic thinking, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Strong executive communication and storytelling abilities.
Experience building partnerships across Product, Sales, Consulting, Marketing and Technology organizations.
Knowledge of payments, financial services or digital technologies is preferred.
Consulting or strategy experience is a strong plus.
