Manages operations for an insurance subsidence team of approximately 6–7 direct reports. Responsibilities include people leadership, claims service delivery, cost and resource control, employee development, performance management, process improvement, stakeholder relationships, and customer satisfaction. The role also supports clients, brokers, and business development while coordinating with field, supply chain, and internal teams to improve the end-to-end claims process.

Leads multiple subsidence operations teams, overseeing claim progression, service quality, customer satisfaction, workflow, backlog, productivity, revenue, and lifecycle performance. Manages Team Managers, monitors operational metrics, identifies bottlenecks and risks, drives corrective action, and delivers continuous process improvement. The role also supports workforce planning, change initiatives, financial objectives, and consistent service delivery across client portfolios.

Coordinate first notifications of loss by receiving and accurately recording new claims, gathering details from policyholders and other stakeholders, booking appointments, identifying urgent or high-risk matters, and escalating potential fraud. Provide professional customer service as Crawford’s first point of contact while supporting claims technicians and adjusters. The role includes onsite training in Birmingham and occasional travel for training or meetings.

Conducts external field investigations and desktop interviews for loss and damage claims. Reviews policy coverage, liability, and claim value; advises policyholders and insurers; completes reports within service-level agreements; maintains accurate case files; provides updates; supports quality, financial, and customer-service targets; and develops professional investigation expertise.

Manages a regional network of building contractors and suppliers, including recruitment, vetting, capacity planning, performance management, audits, complaints, compliance, and continuous improvement. Uses management information to prioritize supplier actions, improve SLA and KPI performance, manage client relationships, and support growth and financial targets. The role requires insurance property reinstatement or building repair experience, knowledge of UK health and safety and FCA claims requirements, complaint resolution skills, and regular regional travel.

Conduct desktop investigations and telephone interviews for insurance loss and damage claims. Manage caseloads within client SLAs, validate policy coverage, assess liability and claim value, advise policyholders and insurers, maintain accurate electronic and paper files, provide updates, complete MI reporting, and meet quality and financial targets while supporting team performance and personal development.

Assesses business interruption and other financial claims for clients, reviewing financial information, preparing analytical reports, calculating interim payments, and negotiating settlements. The role involves site visits and meetings with insurers, reinsurers, claimants, and insured parties. It also requires maintaining case records, monitoring legal and technical developments, developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting less experienced staff.

Assesses business interruption and financial claims, reviews financial information, prepares interim and final reports, calculates and negotiates settlements, and communicates with insurers, reinsurers, claimants, and insured parties. The role includes site visits, client relationship development, business development, file maintenance, legal and technical updates, and mentoring less experienced staff.
