Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Investor Relations Head of French speaking markets, Italy and Spain “the regional head”, the VP will seek to develop existing and new client relationships, enhance Pantheon’s brand and coverage across French speaking Europe (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Suisse Romande) and play a role in servicing existing clients, The role provides support across the team to ensure and further develop high quality communication and contact with clients and prospects. The role also includes answering ad-hoc client requests, AML and compliance checks and therefore have regular contacts with other Pantheon teams.

The role includes the management of junior staff (Analyst and Associate level) in co-ordination with the regional head. The role will also require close co-ordination with clients during fundraising and the involvement in the actual closing-process in co-ordination with the client on-boarding team. Depending on the degree of complexity and the size of the clients, the role will work under the guidance of the regional head. The individual should be able to service and support top tier clients with limited to no guidance and tier 2-4 clients independently.

The VP makes sure that the CRM is kept up to date supported by his/her team. There will be additional responsibilities relating to specific projects which will enhance the Investor Relations function. The role also includes the organisation of client events, supported by Pantheon’s marketing team, such as seminars and workshops as well as onsite due diligence sessions. The individual will work closely with the RFP team on client proposals.

Key Responsibilities: 

The VP has a solid knowledge of private markets and can develop ideas and strategies in close collaboration with the regional head to increase the client base in the region:

  • Servicing and support top tier clients in close collaboration with the regional head
  • Support the regional head in prospecting in his/her specific region by developing strategies and ideas which create efficient and effective solutions
  • Co-ordination, production and review of presentation materials, performance data, due diligence materials
  • Management of the closing process
  • Maintain and update client databases
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct

Knowledge & Experience Required 

  • Strong understanding of Private Markets and preferable experience within a fund of funds environment
  • Proven track record of Institutional (and private wealth) Fundraising & Relationship Management particularly with exposure to the French speaking markets in Europe. Experience with Spain and Italy are a plus.
  • Fluency in French and English is a must. Other European languages such as Spanish or Italian are a plus.
  • Familiarity with the compliance rules and regulations impacting the French market
