Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Trade Marketing Manager to lead trade marketing initiatives for our DIY Consumer Products category, focusing on the STANLEY FATMAX and Black & Decker brand Power Tools and Outdoor products. This pivotal role will drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance across key retail and e-commerce channels in the UK market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade marketing, a passion for the DIY consumer products sector, and the ability to execute impactful marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic trade marketing plans for the STANLEY FATMAX and Black & Decker branded Power Tools and Outdoor products, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and brand marketing teams to create integrated promotional strategies that drive sales growth and market share.
- Identify market opportunities and trends within the DIY consumer segment to inform strategic decisions and enhance brand positioning.
Trade Promotions and Campaigns:
- Plan and manage trade promotions tailored to DIY consumers, ensuring seamless execution across retail and e-commerce channels.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class marketing campaigns and in-store activations.
- Monitor and analyse promotion effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to improve ROI.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and key commercial teams to ensure alignment on marketing objectives and initiatives.
- Develop joint business plans with retail partners to maximize brand presence and sales performance.
- Conduct regular visits to retail locations to assess execution quality, gather consumer insights, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to gather insights on DIY consumer behaviours, competitor activities, and industry trends.
- Analyse sales data and market intelligence to evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing activities and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in trade marketing, preferably within the DIY consumer products or power tools industry.
- Strong understanding of the UK retail landscape, particularly within the DIY and home improvement segments.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Full UK driving licence.
