This role requires someone with proven experience delivering testing on complex, multi-supplier programmes who can operate with minimal supervision, engage confidently with senior stakeholders, and be effective quickly.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience as a Test Manager on large, complex programmes, within regulated or public-sector environments
- Proven delivery across multi-supplier and multi-stakeholder settings
- Strong experience across functional, non-functional, automation and integration testing
- Demonstrable stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels
- Experience managing risk, reporting status and driving delivery outcomes at pace
- Strong leadership capability, with experience mentoring and developing teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
- Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance
As Test Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end testing approach, leading test strategy, planning and execution across multiple delivery phases. You’ll work across a broad stakeholder landscape, managing delivery risk, coordinating suppliers, and assuring quality across system, service and product testing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and driving testing activities across all stages and iterations of system, service and product development
- Defining and delivering test strategy, estimates and execution plans aligned to programme needs
- Providing authoritative guidance on testing methods, automation, tooling and quality standards
- Leading integration and acceptance testing in line with agreed system and service designs
- Managing defect lifecycle activities, including defect triage and resolution
- Overseeing automation outputs and reviewing code quality produced by the team
- Measuring, monitoring and reporting on testing performance, KPIs and delivery risks
- Managing escalations, issues and blockers to ensure delivery outcomes are met
- Driving continuous improvement across testing processes, tools and frameworks
- Coordinating and influencing a complex network of stakeholders and delivery partners
