Take ownership for next generation of our energy technology
 

You lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions in carbon capture and storage (CCS). You will drive advancements in technology, oversee strategic projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s mission of reducing carbon emissions and mitigating climate change. You will be a key contributor in a complex and critical environment in the world of the energy transition. You will be the focal point for carbon capture process technologies, being the main technical contributor to the development of existing and new technologies across multiple maturity levels. You will coordinate a global, interdisciplinary, and diverse team applying technology development tools and methodologies during program execution. You will hierarchically report to the Manager of Technology and operationally to the Product Manager.
 

As a Technology Development Manager - Carbon Capture & Storage, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Managing the development of the carbon capture technologies, including any required R&D activities.

  • Defining sequence of technical activities and relevant options required to de-risk technology development and scale-up.

  • Preparing technology risk assessments required for technology performance guarantees.

  • Managing the relevant resources for technology and R&D activities, as well as coordinating with peers for the work to be completed.

  • Contributing to the strategic design Engineering thinking in own technology/technologies, providing input to: highlight areas of development for the technology; identify skills & knowledge to be developed and/or acquired by themselves and the team; promote continuous improvement in engineering designs and operations; demonstrate state of the art competencies in their domain.

  • Making and preparing presentations to conferences and technical papers for publication.

  • Providing input to project activities to ensure technology is correctly applied and guarantees will be met and takes part in project activities e.g. participation in reviews with clients, HAZID / HAZOP reviews, review / approval of technology deliverables, etc.

  • Carrying out internal training as required.

  • Ensuring work is performed following company procedures and ensures excellent HSE & Engineering performance. Ensuring relevant standards and technical regulations are met by design.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have MSc. in Chemical Engineering. PhD in Chemical Engineering would be a advantageous.

  • Have significant experience in process engineering and technology.

  • Have deep knowledge and experience of technological field(s) and process discipline(s).

  • Have proven experience in basic or detail engineering (ideally both) in the field of chemical industrial plants (refining, gas, petrochemical). Specific experience in Gas Sweetening plants or Carbon Capture will be advantageous.

  • Be able to identify goals and objectives, develop plans and strategies.

  • Show executive level presentation, efficient oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Have leadership experience in the context of a large organization, managing multiple stakeholders, tasks and changing priorities.

  • Have genuine passion for talent development, diversity inclusion and cultural change to embrace new technologies deployment.
