The Studio Assistant supports studio setup, technical operations, and live production for broadcasts while ensuring efficient studio workflows and assisting teams with live content execution.
Somerce is a TikTok Shop specialist agency focused on driving GMV growth for brands. We work with some of the fastest-growing beauty, fashion, lifestyle and FMCG brands across the UK, US and EU, delivering high-performing content, live commerce, affiliate strategy and paid media.
Content sits at the centre of everything we do. This role is about creating content that doesn't just look good, it sells. This role will predominantly involve evening and weekend work to support live broadcast schedules, and candidates should be comfortable with this working pattern.
Studio Setup & Operations- Assist with rigging and de-rigging studio sets for broadcasts
- Support the setup of cameras, lighting, microphones and streaming equipment
- Ensure the studio is organised and ready for daily operations
- Handle physical setup requirements, including equipment movement and heavy lifting
- Maintain smooth day-to-day running of the studio
- This role primarily operates outside of standard working hours
- Regular evening and weekend availability is required to support LIVE broadcasts
- Flexibility is essential based on campaign and livestream schedules
- Operate and support streaming software including OBS
- Work with a range of cameras (including remote systems) and studio tech
- Assist in maintaining high production standards across all livestreams
- Support pre-live checks and post-live breakdowns
- Learn and adapt to LIVE production workflows and systems
- Support live broadcasts from a technical and operational perspective
- Assist with product pinning, promotions and engagement mechanics during streams
- Help manage flash sales, vouchers, giveaways and other LIVE tools
- Work alongside hosts and live teams to ensure seamless execution
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues during live broadcasts
- Work closely with studio, strategy and account teams
- Support campaign shoots, brand days and key live activations
- Take direction from producers and contribute to efficient execution
- Build strong working relationships across teams
- Identify ways to improve studio workflows and setup efficiency
- Support improvements in presenter preparation and live delivery
- Contribute ideas to enhance production quality and performance
RequirementsEssential
- Availability to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis (aligned to LIVE broadcast schedules)
- Interest in live production, streaming or studio environments
- Basic understanding of cameras, lighting or streaming setups
- Confidence using or learning OBS software
- Strong work ethic and willingness to be hands-on
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
- Good problem-solving skills under pressure
- Confident filming and editing content independently
- Strong attention to detail and creative instinct
- Familiarity with TikTok LIVE or livestream platforms
- Experience with studio or production environments
- Understanding of live commerce or e-commerce
- Confidence working with talent or presenters
