As a Sr Product Experience Designer, you'll create user-friendly experiences for complex observability data, conduct user research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product design.

Your role at Dynatrace

Dashboards and Notebooks are how hundreds of thousands of users make sense of what's happening across their systems. SREs rely on them during incidents, when minutes matter. Engineers rely on them every day to monitor what they've built. Executives rely on them to understand the health of the business.

You'll join the Dashboards and Notebooks team as a hands-on Individual Contributor. Our domain is complex, our team is technical, and we expect designers to question assumptions and shape what gets built. In this role, you will:

  • Work end-to-end on hard data visualization and interaction problems, alongside PMs, engineers, and design peers.
  • Design AI-assisted experiences that help users find insight faster.
  • Own and design scalable solutions across Dashboards and Notebooks.
  • Make Dashboards and Notebooks part of how you work, so you understand the product as a user and bring real product insight into your design decisions.
  • Contribute to the Strato Design System.
  • Use AI deliberately in your own workflow, not just for prototyping, but to move faster on the routine work so you can go deeper on what matters.
What will help you succeed
  • 6+ years designing and shipping software products as a hands-on individual contributor, with recent craft experience.
  • Technical fluency. You can follow the technical conversations on your team, reason about how the system works, and design for the domain rather than around it.
  • Depth in craft. You sweat the details and care how things look and work.
  • An instinct for finding the right problems to solve, not just shaping the solution. We count on designers to surface opportunities, push back on assumptions, and make sure we're building the right thing.
  • The ability to operate in ambiguity. AI is reshaping how we work and not everything is defined. We want designers who experiment, form opinions, and propose direction.

When applying for this role: We view portfolios as design work. How you structure, write, and present your case studies tells us how you think and what you value. We care about:

  • Depth over breadth. 1 or 2 complex projects, well documented.
  • Work close to what you'd do here: enterprise, B2B, SaaS, developer tools, or data-heavy interfaces. If you don't have a direct match, show your closest analog.
  • A clear account of the problem, your contribution, the decisions you made, and what shipped.
  • A real reason for applying to Dynatrace. Time with the product goes a long way.
