Job Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Senior Payroll Specialist responsible for processing and reporting payroll for France.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of French payroll regulations, including various types of statutory leave.

  • Accurately transfer employee data from the HR system of record to the payroll system, ensuring earnings and deductions comply with legal, tax, and company requirements.

  • Collaborate with HR and HR Shared Services to streamline payroll processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.

  • Process employee Time and Attendance data from the Time and Labour system, validating entries using standard reports.

  • Execute payroll close procedures, including reconciling payroll reports with source documents and upstream systems; generate payroll analysis reports to support financial close and journal entry preparation.

  • Contribute to the payroll team by promoting standardised processes, maintaining internal controls (SOX compliance), and applying payroll best practices.

  • Submit monthly reports and declarations as required by French authorities.

  • Provide ad hoc statistical data to authorities as needed.

  • Support payroll tax audits.

  • Ensure timely resolution of employee queries.

  • Perform additional tasks as required, including supporting other EMEA payrolls within the team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience working with a large ERP system and/or payroll provider, including high-volume payroll processing (675+ employees).

  • Proven experience in French payroll.

  • Fluency in French (written and spoken).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
