Description

We are looking for a creative Social Media Editor to join the Country Life digital team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the social media strategy for one of Britain’s most beloved and iconic brands, playing an important role in expanding our reach, increasing engagement, and driving traffic to Country Life’s digital platforms.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Digital Content Director, the Social Media Editor will manage Country Life’s social media presence across all platforms, creating engaging content, and leveraging analytics to optimise performance.

  • Develop a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Country Life’s editorial and our goals.
  • Create compelling posts, stories, and multimedia content tailored to the unique audiences of each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest). 
  • Report on social media performance using tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and other analytics platforms. Use insights to inform strategy and content development.
  • Stay ahead of new social media trends, platform updates, and audience behaviours, proposing new opportunities to grow Country Life’s digital presence.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Experience managing social media platforms for a lifestyle, heritage, or luxury brand.
  • A flair for creating visually stunning and engaging posts that resonate with Country Life’s audience.
  • Proficient in using analytics tools to track performance and inform decisions.
  • Experience with major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
  • Understanding of Country Life’s unique brand values and target audience, with the ability to translate these into social-first content.
  • Understanding of social SEO and its role in growing organic reach and engagement.
  • Basic skills in photography and video editing software.
