Job Description
We know that people want great value combined with an excellent experience from a bank they can trust, so we launched our digital bank, Chase UK, to revolutionise mobile banking with seamless journeys that our customers love. We're already trusted by millions in the US and we're quickly catching up in the UK - but how we do things here is a little different. We're building the bank of the future from scratch, channelling our start-up mentality every step of the way - meaning you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.
As an Investment Writer within the investments division of JPMorgan Chase's International Consumer Bank, you will be responsible for working closely with the Investment Team to translate their insights and analysis into customer-centric thought leadership and educational investing content. Given this is our consumer business, we are looking for a writer that understands consumer needs, and who can make complex investing information simple. We're looking for people who are technically brilliant and want to continuously improve our content effectiveness, but who are also confident at stakeholder management and enjoy working collaboratively.
Our content team is at the heart of this venture, focused on getting a great banking experience into the hands of our customers. We're looking for people who have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. By their nature, our people are also solution-oriented, commercially savvy and have a head for fintech.
Summary of the role and expectations

  • Write engaging, strategic investments content across every channel - including web, social, comms, display, OOH and search. This includes both organic and paid media
  • Ideate and deliver end-to-end campaigns, with a focus on creating best-in-class customer experiences
  • Partner with stakeholders, thought leaders and subject matter experts across the business to build trust, challenge intelligently and find smart solutions to tricky problems
  • Develop strong product and industry knowledge, and use this to deliver content for a wide range of investors
  • Build a robust understanding of the investments risk and controls landscape, and use it as the foundation for every piece of content
  • Evangelise for readability, usability and inclusivity - keeping every customer in mind, every time
  • Think critically and get curious to make sure we're doing things the right way, and for the right reasons
  • Work harmoniously with fellow copywriters, and contribute to the Content team's value and reputation
  • Help colleagues become better writers by sharing best practice

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • You're an effective multi-tasker, who's comfortable prioritising to meet deadlines
  • You're a technically skilled, highly competent writer with a knack for language. From micro-copy to long-form, you know how to tell a story with a compelling narrative - demystifying jargon into something everyone can understand
  • You're a guardian and advocate for our voice and tone
  • You've got a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • You're adept at following processes and you understand the needs of a highly regulated environment
  • You value being part of a thriving team, and you look for opportunities to add value and make an impact
  • You seek to leave things better than you found them, and leave a positive footprint wherever you go
  • You're excited by the challenge of turning complex investments topics into digestible content
  • What you don't know, you're excited to learn
