What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses. The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next. Join us at IG – the future gets built here.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Share Plans Specialist to join our Reward team and take ownership of the day-to-day administration of IG Group's employee share plans. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of Reward, Finance, Tax, and Legal — giving the right candidate broad exposure across the business and a genuine opportunity to shape how we run and evolve our share plan offering globally. Applications from candidates interested in either a permanent or contract role are welcomed.
About the Team
This role sits within IG Group's Reward function, part of the broader Group People team. You will work closely with colleagues across HR, Payroll, Employment Tax, Finance, and our Co-Sec team, as well as external partners including our share plan administrator, Global Shares. The Reward team plays a central role in supporting IG's transformation agenda, ensuring our people programmes are commercially aligned and compliantly delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Administer IG Group's all-employee share plan offerings, including the Global Share Purchase Plan (GSPP) and Share Incentive Plan (SIP), ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all plan activity.
Manage quarterly grant and vesting processes under IG's long-term incentive plans, coordinating with internal stakeholders across HR, Recruitment, Payroll, and Tax, as well as third-party administrators (currently JPM Global Shares).
Oversee monthly updates with JPM Global Shares covering terminations, new participants, and new enrolments.
Partner with the Co-Sec team to ensure PDMR trading notifications and public grant disclosures are managed accurately and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Employment Tax and Payroll on all share plan-related tax and payroll processes, ensuring obligations are met across relevant jurisdictions.
Act as the primary Reward contact for all share plan matters — liaising with internal stakeholders including current employees, HR, Recruitment, Finance, Payroll, and Tax, as well as external parties such as former employees, auditors, share plan advisors, and the external trustee.
Deliver accurate and timely reporting on share plan activity — including grants, vestings, and terminations — to Finance, and support ad hoc reconciliation and reporting requirements as they arise.
Develop and maintain models to track and forecast share plan obligations, dilution, and associated costs.
Monitor developments in tax, legal, regulatory, and employment law that affect the operation of share plans, and ensure IG's programmes remain compliant and current.
Maintain and continuously improve share plan processes and supporting documentation, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Role Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience working within a Reward team, with a focus on share plan administration and exposure to international plan delivery.
Demonstrable experience working with share plan administrators; experience with Global Shares is a strong advantage.
High attention to detail, with confidence handling and reconciling large datasets.
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritisation skills.
Effective communicator — written and verbal — with the ability to adapt your style for different audiences, from employees to senior stakeholders and external advisors.
Collaborative and proactive approach, with a track record of building strong working relationships across functions.
Desirable
Experience working in Reward within a regulated financial services organisation.
Familiarity with PDMR obligations and listed company share plan compliance requirements.
Exposure to share plan forecasting, dilution modelling, or financial reporting in a corporate environment.
Knowledge of share plan-related tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
