Be involved in exciting and original projects

You will join our innovative CTS Systems and Technology Engineering team, and you will be responsible for Systems Engineering activities for New Product Development (NPD) programs and product life cycle support on programs sponsored across the different growth areas of Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage, Hydrogen Production, Clean Power Solution and Emission Abatement. 
You will guide the overall technical effort, in close collaboration with the Program Manager, Product Leader, and other functions, driving adoption of Systems Engineering practice. As Senior Systems Engineer you will be accountable for technical requirements, architecture definition, and risks management, enabling NPD programs execution excellence.

As a Senior Systems Engineer – Climate Technology Solutions, you will be responsible for:

  • Being the ultimate technical owner and design authority on the program, and prime technical interface.

  • Defining and coordinating Engineering resources and activities (Engineering Work Breakdown Structure - WBS) and monitor the progress of design throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Understanding, documenting, and reviewing technical scope, system requirements and architecture.

  • Ensuring all requirements are captured and flowed down to the respective executional teams in the Work Breakdown Structure.

  • Defining and maintaining product functional architecture, product breakdown structure (PBS), physical architecture, system interfaces, requirements allocation, and their relevant verification and validation.

  • Ensuring the product development (PD) process is followed including any required technical reviews such as design reviews, risk reviews, manufacturability reviews, supply chain reviews.

  • Working with allocated project team to deliver the required systems engineering scope, as a technical lead and interface with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Creating initial feasibility analysis, conceptual designs, concepts of operations, conducting trade-off analysis for scaling up to demo/commercial scale systems.

  • Reporting on program status and risk at regular intervals, perform a patents search.

  • Taking ownership of Systems Engineering design, FMEA, HAZOP, Technical Qualification and other relevant Engineering processes/analysis.

  • Planning and Executing system level Verification and Validation planning /activities, providing assurance that the overall system design meets the system requirements.

  • Collaborating with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to source components and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to gas processing technology, environmental compliance, and energy recovery systems to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability and emissions management.

  • Being the main technical interface for Customers for new product and relevant new technology.

  • Providing timely communications to Executive Management on technical, program, organizational and resource matters.

  • Ensuring and inspiring compliance to IP protection and HSE culture. Play an active role in the Systems Engineering Office.

  • Remaining current with Systems Engineering state-of-the-art, promoting adoption and taking active part to company related initiatives (e.g. SEP board).

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Master's Degree or PhD. in Mechanical/Aerospace/Energy/Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University or College.

  • Have proven experience in leading engineering projects or programs, with focus on innovative product development that involves multi-disciplinary aspects and interaction tasks.

  • Have proven competencies in rotating equipment design, with the ability to apply knowledge to new technology and new product development.

  • Have demonstrated experience in developing systems requirements, architecture design, system level verification and validation, preferably within gas processing industry/market. INCOSE certification would be positively valued.

  • Have demonstrated experience in designing new tech systems that meets all customer/market requirements including product cost, performance, manufacturing methods, standardization, and other operational aspects as well.   

  • Be open to innovative ideas, ability to drive change and passionate to new technologies.

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • Have very good collaboration skills and ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders.

  • Show problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills.

  • Have clear thinking attitude with entrepreneur's mindset.

  • Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent both in English and Italian and hold an EU passport.
