As the Lead Design Engineer works as part of a team to develop and support products within the Technology groups. Work is usually performed with the oversight of a more senior Engineer. The Lead Design Engineer also develops skills to make work decisions, apply concepts to issues of certain complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short/medium-term planning.

Operability discipline is an Engineering interdisciplinary field that focus on how to design and integrate complex systems. The individual outcome of design efforts, an engineered system, can be defined as a combination of components and subsystems that work in synergy to collectively perform a function. It integrates technical and business perspectives to reduce risk to project execution and engineering design.
Operability discipline delivers engineering efforts related to the design of new products and services for customer projects. Usually they coordinate closely with Sales, Procurements, Manufacturing and Testing teams as needed.

As Operability Lead Design Engineer you will be responsible for Compressors and Radial Turboexpanders Operability, ensuring control philosophy conceptual study, machine operability requirement for control, plant modelling and system dynamic simulation analysis for BH IET projects.

As lead design engineer, you will be involved not only in the requisition activities, but also in:

  • Standardization/New product development: supporting compressor process layout optimization.
  • Support to ITO: working with AE team to support specific Customer requests or risk mitigation.
  • Support to Site: especially during commissioning, support to Service team for plant startup or specific issue that might happen during operation.
  • Work in team with parent BH business, all other Engineering Departments Customer engineering group (both EPC and final Customers) to understand customer needs leveraging interdependent culture and best practices, interfacing organizations such as Manufacturing, Sourcing, Services, and Regional hubs.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a master degree in Mechanical/Energy/Aeronautical/Chemical Engineering.
  • Have at least 2-3 years experience in O&G and Industrial applications.
  • Have excellent inter-personal communication and leadership skills
  • Have English fluency
  • Be self-motivated with problem solving skills
  • Have the ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Have networking and team working skills
