About the role
The Senior Supplier Relationship & Procurement Operations Manager is responsible for leading and maturing D&G's Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) capability across strategic and critical suppliers while overseeing Procurement Operations and Purchasing Administration activities.
The role is accountable for driving supplier performance, value delivery, innovation and executive supplier engagement, while ensuring efficient and compliant operation of supplier onboarding, purchasing processes, spend governance and supplier lifecycle management.
Working closely with Procurement, Third-Party Risk Management, Finance and business stakeholders, the role will strengthen supplier performance, improve procurement operations and ensure effective governance across the supplier lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead D&G's Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework across strategic and critical suppliers, driving supplier performance, value creation, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level supplier relationships, leading strategic engagement, performance reviews and governance activities to maximise commercial and operational outcomes.
- Own supplier performance management, including supplier scorecards, KPIs, service reviews, improvement plans and supplier lifecycle oversight from onboarding through to renewal and exit.
- Lead Procurement Operations, Purchasing Administration and supplier support activities, ensuring efficient, compliant and customer-focused service delivery across the business.
- Oversee supplier onboarding, supplier maintenance, purchasing processes and procurement operational controls, ensuring effective governance and service performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, supplier data, systems, reporting, controls and management information to improve efficiency, transparency and user experience.
- Own and chair the Third Party Spend Forum, ensuring effective spend governance, informed decision-making, prioritisation and delivery of agreed actions.
- Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable teams to improve purchase-to-pay (P2P) processes, supplier onboarding, invoicing, payment workflows and supplier experience.
- Partner with Procurement, Third-Party Risk Management, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security and Operational Resilience teams to ensure effective supplier oversight and governance.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, building capability across Supplier Relationship Management and Procurement Operations.
What we're looking for
- Significant experience leading Supplier Relationship Management, Vendor Management or Strategic Supplier Management functions.
- Experience managing strategic and critical suppliers in a complex organisation.
- Strong supplier performance management, governance and executive stakeholder management experience.
- Proven experience developing or maturing SRM frameworks and operating models.
- Experience leading Procurement Operations, Purchasing Administration or Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Experience working with supplier onboarding, purchasing controls, procurement service delivery and Finance / Accounts Payable teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on value creation and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading teams and driving operational transformation.
Desirable
- Financial services or regulated industry experience.
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews or outsourcing governance activities.
