The role
As Senior Strategy Manager you will work in close partnership with the Management Information & Insights team and the wider Finance team to develop end-to-end analyses that support strategic decision-making and ensure that strategic objectives align with Bupa Global’s ambition.
You’ll help us make health happen by
- Support the development and refinement of Bupa Global's strategy plan in partnership with the Head of Strategy BG and the wider Bupa Global Executive Leadership Team
- Implement and monitor scorecard of KPIs for strategic initiatives set out within BG’s strategy, ensuring they align with our key ambitions and targets
- Conduct research and analysis of the health insurance industry, the international private medical insurance (IPMI) market, global and regional competitors to support strategic decisions and identify opportunities and challenges
- In partnership with the MI & Insights team, contribute to strategic analysis that review business performance across different areas (e.g. markets, customers, products, channels)
- Develop businesses cases for strategic initiatives or projects, including defining assumptions and developing scenarios, ensuring financial acumen throughout. Present and discuss insights with key stakeholders
- In partnership support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports and papers on the progress of BG’s strategy to its stakeholders, including Group, MU, and entities Board of Directors
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role
- Proven work experience in Strategy function in the insurance or healthcare industries or previous experience as a strategy consultant
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop clear insights for the business
- Highly numerate with ability to process financial data, strong commercial acumen, and sound business judgment
- A good understanding of global healthcare systems, including the interactions between payers and providers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and insightful messages, translating complex topics in simple, clear and data-led narrative
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build and strengthen relationships
