Senior Marketing Communications Insight Manager

London (Battersea) / Hybrid

As part of the phenomenal growth SharkNinja EMEA has achieved over the last few years we have an exciting new opportunity within the newly established EMEA Customer & Market Insight team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic insight expert to define, govern & partner with our internal stakeholders to deliver best practices with our marketing, brand, and media teams across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will drive marketing and communication insight led recommendations across the business by identifying and building a learning agenda to continually experiment, test, iterate and execute quickly.

The EMEA Senior Marketing Communications Insight Manager will work closely with the global marketing leadership and cross-functional teams.   The role is crucial to ensure that our marketing and business strategies are well-informed and that our product offerings are perfectly aligned with market demands across the entirety of Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

The role of Senior Marketing Communications Insight Manager is an exciting and critical role within our EMEA Customer & Market Insight (CMI) team and our alignment with global marketing. If you are consumer and customer obsessive, passionate about driving revenue growth, possess a strong curiosity and desire to explore at times uncharted territories then this is the role for you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping develop our brand strategy through the development of marketing insight programme.


Here are some of the exciting things you’ll get to do:


Alongside the marketing teams, help set strategic direction for the brand and communication across EMEA and multiple product categories.

  • Partner in the development of regional and global creative messaging across our product categories i.e., Shark Beauty, Shark Home, Ninja Kitchen as well as Ninja Outdoor.
  • Through the brand health tracker create space for the business to ideate and innovate, observing and reporting on competitor behaviour to help SharkNinja stand out in a crowded market. 
  • Develop a SLT as well as company wide brand health reporting; weekly (where appropriate), monthly dashboard / newsletter / reporting as well as quarterly deep dives.
  • Track social media campaign performance, DTC channels and incorporate customer segmentation into both how we develop and track the brand; analyse performance metrics and recommend strategy adjustments accordingly.
  • Ensure that the business is focused on the right brand and communication KPI’s; the insights are actionable and help make the right business decisions.
  • Provide expert advice through insights into marketing strategies and media planning.
  • Work with and provide guidance to marketing colleagues, as well as creative and media agencies for both ATL & BTL campaigns.
  • Utilise the insights to drive and support a brand advocacy programme.
  • Spot the smoke, drive visibility of the customer & competitive threats.
  • The successful candidate with achieve this through data-driven observations that will help SharkNinja better understand its brand position and creative messaging, providing guidance for areas of improvement.

In addition, when required, partner with the global team to drive brand & communication initiatives through insights.

  • The ability to grasp and take ownership, operate independently, demonstrating self-drive and initiative in all aspects of the role.
  • Proven ability to translate complex research and insights in a straightforward way.
  • Have a strong understanding of research (qualitative and quantitative), data analysis and an ability to effectively communicate insights.
  • Be a subject matter expert and advise our stakeholders on how studies can be conducted, and how the results can be used to grow the business.
  • Strong presenting skills; must have excellent storytelling abilities.
  • Expertise in using data to inform decision making.
  • The ability to choose, leverage creative testing frameworks and methodologies where appropriate.
  • A good understanding of online analytics and eCommerce tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to adapt style and communication approach.
  • Be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced global environment.
  • Ability to pivot and wear multiple hats, managing multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced environment.

 

 Education and Experience

  • 10 years+ of consumer insight experience in brand tracking and brand strategy.
  • Stakeholder and management experience.
  • EMEA /Multi-levelled matrix organisation management.
  • Proposition development & execution experience. 
  • Product Lifecycle management experience with technical aptitude. 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Strong numeracy/commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft office packages, especially PowerPoint and excel.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation abilities.
