Mission Statement & Summary
As the senior member of a team of credit analysts, this is a dynamic and commercially impactful role responsible for shaping and optimising credit risk strategies for new customer acquisition, with a primary focus on NewDay’s embedded finance portfolios.
You will lead the design and refinement of credit strategies, leveraging new models, data sources, and performance forecasting to drive strong business growth while delivering positive and sustainable customer outcomes.
How You'll Contribute
Lead the monitoring and continuous optimisation of the newly launched ArgosPay credit strategy, partnering with the wider acquisition team to ensure risk performance and key metrics consistently meet agreed targets.
Drive enhancements in analysis and reporting, uncovering emerging trends and translating insights into clear, data led strategic actions.
Play a key role in product launches and portfolio migrations, providing robust risk insight, performance oversight, and strategic guidance throughout
Design and implement innovative credit strategies for the AO product, leveraging new features such as upfront payments and basket-level data to enhance decisioning.
Build strong cross functional partnerships with stakeholders across the business, influencing strategy, fostering collaboration, and providing mentoring and thought leadership to colleagues within the New Lending team.
We're looking for these essential skills
Proficient use of SQL for data analysis and strategy development.
Experience within a financial services organisation, with knowledge of consumer credit sector and products, and a core background in risk and /or analytics.
Ability to drive multiple initiatives forward simultaneously, independently, on time and to a high standard.
Strong capability to generate insights, identify and understand trends, and communicate findings clearly.
It’s a plus if you also have these skills
Development of credit risk strategies, including implementation of policies and controls governing new customer lending
Previous embedded finance or business development experience.
Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
A working understanding of decision systems such as Provenir.
