You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we protect small businesses, ensuring that every decision we make is sound, fair, and contributes to the long-term success of our customers.

You won't just be managing a process—you'll be empowering people to do their best work.As one of our Underwriting Excellence Lead’s, you’ll:

• Develop and implement forward-thinking strategies to refine our underwriting processes and elevate the quality of every decision.
• Support the leadership and motivation of a dedicated team of underwriters, acting as a mentor to help them grow and succeed.
• Maintain and evolve our underwriting guidelines and procedures, ensuring we always meet regulatory and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with our capacity providers to provide assurance of high-quality underwriting and build strong, professional relationships.
• Monitor claims performance and take ownership of the product value process to ensure our business remains resilient.
• Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes to keep our practices modern and effective.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• An experienced underwriting professional with a deep, senior-level understanding of underwriting principles and market practices.
• A degree-qualified thinker who can balance technical expertise with a practical, common-sense approach.
• A natural leader and communicator who is passionate about sharing knowledge and empowering others.
• Analytical and a problem-solver at heart, with the ability to look at complex data and find clear, simple solutions.
• Proactive and collaborative, comfortable working independently but always keeping the wider team’s goals in mind.
• Committed to excellence, with a genuine desire to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers.
