The Role

The Product Management function defines the strategic vision, manages the technical delivery, and then helps to bring to market new products. This process includes continuous collaboration with MarketAxess’ technology and sales organisations, as well as our clients, to ensure our products are fit for purpose, and that we stay ahead of developments in our markets. The Senior Product Associate works with Product Managers in prioritizing features for development, creating user stories, and ensuring open communication across all stakeholders. As a Senior Product Associate, you'll help shape the next generation of our fixed income trading platform. You’ll work closely with technical and business teams to drive product development, support client adoption, and ensure delivery of high quality, data driven solutions. In addition, you will play a key role in exploring and evaluating appropriate AI use cases within the product, identifying opportunities where AI can enhance workflows, improve decision‑making, or unlock new capabilities for clients.

The individual will also represent the scrum team, when needed, to internal/external stakeholders, leaders, and other teams to ensure alignment by providing feedback to the program on enhancements. The Senior Product Associate champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas, with the ability to align and motivate a team to achieve objectives in a fast paced environment.

How You’ll Help Take Us There

  • Translate customer needs into clear requirements for cross functional teams.
  • Partner with developers to deliver cohesive, high quality product releases while leveraging agile methodology.
  • Contribute to the Product Management community by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Present product updates through internal and external demos and walkthroughs.
  • Become a subject matter expert in fixed income trading technology.
  • Prioritize and refine the product backlog to align with strategic goals.
  • Analyze user and market data to uncover insights and produce impactful sales materials.
  • Support tracking of KPIs to measure product performance and ROI. 
  • Work with the Research team to explore appropriate AI use cases within the product

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years in product management, project, or business analysis roles.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience.
  • Experience in financial services, especially fixed income.
  • Knowledge of OMS/EMS workflows and API integrations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM/quantitative field.
  • Understanding of FIX protocols and working SQL knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Slack.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.‑solving skills.
  • Passion for trading technology and continuous improvement. 
  • Experience implementing AI within products.
