The team:

The Performance Marketing team at Zopa is responsible for driving measurable customer growth through digital acquisition. We are a relatively new function with a big remit, clear commercial targets and significant opportunity to shape how performance marketing scales across the business.

Right now, the focus is on scaling Zopa’s Current Account through strategic, data-driven acquisition. You’ll partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across marketing, product, analytics, creative and brand, alongside external agency partners, to shape and optimise growth initiatives. This role is well suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with strong executional rigour, and enjoys using insight, experimentation and performance data to influence decisions and drive measurable impact.

A day in the life:

    • Shape how we invest across digital acquisition channels, audiences and creative strategies, helping decide where and how we scale customer growth most effectively.

    • Play a hands-on role in delivering Zopa’s performance marketing strategy across channels including Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, TikTok, Reddit, Programmatic and emerging platforms.

    • Own the day-to-day running of campaigns, from optimisation and pacing through to forecasting and performance reporting, ensuring campaigns are continually improving and delivering against targets.

    • Experiment with new creative approaches, messaging and audience strategies to understand what resonates most with customers and drives stronger performance over time.

    • Help drive customer growth while balancing CAC, LTV, payback and wider commercial goals, with an immediate focus on scaling Current Account acquisition.

    • Dive into performance data on a daily basis using tools such as Excel, AppsFlyer, Firebase and Tableau to uncover insights, spot trends and identify opportunities for further growth.

    • Work closely with teams across Product, Analytics, Finance, Creative and Brand, ensuring acquisition activity aligns with broader business priorities and customer goals.

    • Build strong relationships with agency and external partners, helping maintain a high bar for execution, accountability and commercial impact.

    • Support the growth of a significant and rapidly scaling marketing budget, currently around £1m per quarter, with the opportunity to help shape how we scale investment over the coming years.

    • Contribute to building the future of Performance Marketing at Zopa, helping define the structure, tooling and ways of working as the function continues to grow and evolve.

About you:

    • You have recent, hands-on experience managing performance marketing campaigns and are genuinely happy to stay close to the operational detail.

    • You have managed campaigns across more than one performance platform, such as Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, TikTok, Reddit or Programmatic.

    • You have strong mobile-first acquisition experience and understand the difference between web and app-based customer journeys.

    • You are confident working with data, using tools such as Excel, AppsFlyer, Firebase, Looker, Tableau or similar.

    • You understand mobile attribution and measurement, including platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust or similar.

    • You are commercially minded and comfortable optimising towards CAC, LTV and growth targets.

    • You understand how creative performance influences acquisition and enjoy testing messaging, formats and customer angles.

    • You are able to communicate performance trends clearly, translating data into actionable insights while effectively highlighting risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.

    • You are organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.

Added bonus

    • Experience in fintech, banking, regulated industries or app-first consumer products.

    • Experience scaling subscription-based or mobile-first products.

    • Experience managing agencies or external media partners.

    • Knowledge of incrementality testing, attribution modelling or App Store Optimisation.

    • Experience with landing page optimisation or experimentation tools.

    • Experience managing influencer performance campaigns across YouTube, TikTok or Meta.

    • Experience using AI tools to improve operational efficiency or campaign workflows

At Zopa we value flexible ways of working.
We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.

You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.

*Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice
