Role Description
Act as the senior, trusted legal adviser on FNZ’s global reward and compensation frameworks, including equity incentive programs and management remuneration structures across all regions (North America, UK, EU and APMEA, including South Africa)
Provide strategic, commercially focused and legally robust advice on the design, implementation and governance of compensation arrangements
Partner closely with Legal, People, Finance and Management to ensure reward structures are scalable, compliant and aligned with FNZ’s strategic objectives.
Support UK employment law matters on an ad hoc basis where required
Specific Role Responsibilities
Lead legal support for FNZ’s global reward and compensation frameworks, including equity incentive plans, management incentive programs and executive remuneration structures
Advise on the design, implementation and governance of global equity plans and long-term incentive arrangements
Provide expert advice on UK corporate law aspects including share capital and governance
Ensure compliance across North America, UK, EU and APMEA (including South Africa) relating to compensation and rewards
Partner with Tax, Finance, People and Corporate Legal teams to deliver scalable reward solutions
Draft and maintain plan rules, award documentation and governance frameworks
Support board and committee processes relating to remuneration governance
Monitor regulatory developments impacting reward and compensation
Provide ad hoc UK employment law support to the Senior Legal Counsel, Group Employment, UK & Ireland
Experience required
What you will need: -
Qualified lawyer with 10–12 years’ post-qualification experience
Strong UK corporate law background, including equity and governance
Extensive experience in reward, compensation and incentive structures
Experience in multinational environment or top-tier law firm
Ability to advise senior stakeholders on complex matters
Strong understanding of global reward frameworks across all regions
Excellent drafting and advisory capability
Commercial judgement and risk management capability
Languages, Leadership & Personal Attributes
Fluent English is essential. Proficiency in at least one additional EU language and one APAC or MEA language is highly desirable.
