Team

As a Senior International PR Manager, you are considered highly skilled and proficient in your discipline. You bring an autonomous work style, take full functional job responsibility, and handle the organization and planning of complex projects. You operate independently with wide decision-making latitude, driving our media strategy for the UK, Ireland and other markets while thinking content holistically across multiple channels. You are a true global citizen who thinks and lives internationality, bringing an international background and mindset to the team. You are always eager to immerse yourself in the cultures, trends, and media landscapes of new countries.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement PR & Communications initiatives that enhance brand awareness and thought leadership, ensuring a consistent and credible media presence across the UK and Irish markets as well as across all relevant markets.
  • Media Relations: Actively build and maintain relationships with financial and consumer media to strengthen the company’s network and visibility, leveraging deep knowledge of the UK and Irish media landscape while demonstrating a strong passion and drive to dig deep into the media ecosystems of new and emerging international markets.
  • International Collaboration & Travel: Act as a bridge between our headquarters and global audiences by traveling to our target markets to build on-the-ground relationships with local media, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Creative Storytelling: Come up with creative ideas, and data-driven narratives to engage existing media contacts and approach new ones in a meaningful and strategic way.
  • Content Creation: Draft and distribute high-quality press releases, media pitches, video scripts, visual assets, and other press materials tailored to relevant international audiences.
  • Agency Management: Lead, coordinate, and hold accountable external PR agencies to ensure high-quality output and optimal budget allocation.
  • Media Coordination & Representation: Coordinate media activities, including briefings and interviews, and serve as a spokesperson when needed.
  • Editorial Planning: Create and maintain a full editorial calendar to ensure consistent planning, alignment, and execution across all communication channels.
  • Monitoring & Risk Management: Monitor the financial media landscape and competitive activity to surface PR opportunities and proactively manage potential risks to reputation.
  • Team & Performance: Help set and track team OKRs, working collaboratively to ensure goals are delivered with attention to detail and follow-through. Offer support and perspective to colleagues at all levels, acting as a reliable sparring partner.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, gained either in a PR agency or in-house communications department. 
  • A genuinely international background and mindset, with strong intercultural competence and a proven passion for understanding different global market dynamics.
  • Vast, deep knowledge of the UK and Irish media landscape, with an established network of relevant journalists, editors, and financial commentators in these regions, paired with the curiosity and hands-on mentality to independently research and master new international media landscapes.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to foster relationships and oversee local market initiatives on the ground.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing PR strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • A creative storyteller who can think outside the box to craft compelling narratives and attention-grabbing headlines for target media.
  • Confident working with various content formats, including press releases, LinkedIn posts, media pitches, briefing documents, and visual/video assets.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, external agency partners, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to contributing to a high-performance culture.
  • Composed and effective under pressure, especially during crisis situations or fast-moving developments.
  • Native or professional fluency in English (especially written and spoken for the UK/Irish market).
Nice to Have
  • Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or a high-growth tech environment.
  • Hands-on experience with video editing tools and visual media production.
  • Practical experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for communications, content creation, and video generation.
  • Multilingual capabilities (i.e. Polish, Spanish or Dutch) are a strong advantage and highly valued given the international scope of the role.
  • Familiarity with PR tools and media monitoring platforms.
