The role
Dojo is a fast-growing fintech on a mission to transform how businesses take payments and manage their finances. As we scale across the UK and beyond, we are building a forward-thinking, high-impact Finance function that matches that ambition.
As Senior Finance Manager, you will be a cornerstone of our Finance team—bringing technical excellence, commercial insight, and supportive leadership to a talented group of early-career finance professionals. You will own the integrity of our financial reporting and compliance, drive automation to streamline workflows, and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional moving from practice into industry, or with high-growth tech experience, who is motivated by the opportunity to shape best-in-class finance operations and build something exceptional.
What you will do...
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of early-career finance professionals, actively supporting their professional study and career growth.
- Critically review financial workflows and partner with technology teams to lead automated improvements that scale safely.
- Take ownership of complex technical accounting (IFRS and UK GAAP) and implement robust, well-documented financial controls.
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings, managing the external audit process with clarity and confidence.
- Partner cross-functionally to provide practical finance guidance on new product launches and develop transparent internal policies.
- Communicate financial insights and process recommendations to senior leadership to drive informed strategic decisions.
What you will bring...
- A professional accounting qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an internationally recognised equivalent).
- Big 4 / Top 10 experience is strongly desireable.
- Experience in an industry finance role outside of practice, ideally within a high-growth, technology, or fintech environment.
- Direct experience managing, mentoring, and developing early-career finance talent.
- Advanced technical accounting expertise (IFRS / UK GAAP) and strong literacy with modern finance and ERP systems.
- A proven track record of identifying inefficiencies, designing scalable solutions, and driving process automation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into plain language for diverse stakeholders.
