This is an opportunity to join the Finance team as an interim Senior Finance PM.

The role reports to the Head of Finance Business Partnering (HoFBP) and will be supporting her and the team with identifying, prioritising and delivering a number of Finance transformation activities with the focus being to drive and embed automation, resulting in greater efficiency across numerous areas.

About the Team

The Finance team is based in London with some regional staff and business partners located in Spain, USA, Nairobi, Delhi and Shanghai. The FBP team is a team of 8, which includes 5 Senior FBPs (2 based in Barcelona), an interim Finance Reporting Analyst, a Procurement Manager and the Head of FBP.

About the role

The Senior Finance PM will support the identification, prioritisation and delivery of key finance transformation initiatives. The role will focus on driving process improvement, embedding automation, and enhancing the effectiveness of finance operations, while also providing flexible support to the wider FBP team in addressing complex operational and commercial challenges. This is a unique opportunity to take on a high-visibility role within Finance, with the ability to shape how the function operates and adds value. The breadth of the role offers exposure to a wide range of challenges, with significant opportunity for impact and development. The role reports into the Head of Finance Business Partnering and is key to the delivery of GSMA’s Membership and Mutual objectives which drive impact across the global Mobile Telecommunications industry. The role is a 1 year contract.

Main tasks:

  • Design and delivery of finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and enable scalable ways of working
  • Support the implementation and embedding of Workforce Planning and related data tools
  • Step into complex or ambiguous challenges, diagnose root causes, develop practical solutions, and drive execution through to completion
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes, including month-end, forecasting and reporting
  • Work collaboratively with FBPs and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Working with wider Finance team, enhance core finance processes to improve accuracy, consistency and quality of outputs
  • Support adoption of new tools and processes through training and guidance
  • Provide flexible support to the FBP team, acting as a trusted partner to help navigate day-to-day challenges.

About You

You will be a delivery-focused finance professional who is confident working through ambiguity, shaping structured solutions and taking initiatives from concept through to completion. You bring experience across finance transformation, process improvement and project delivery, with a strong understanding of core finance processes and the ability to work both strategically and hands-on. You are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes and exploring how data, systems and automation can improve the way finance operates. Experience with Workday is a benefit.
