The Role:

The Senior Analyst is a senior technical delivery role within Asset Management Operations, responsible for accurate, timely and well‑controlled execution of services provided by Portfolio Services. 

The role focuses on expert operational delivery, strong control discipline, and proactive issue management across complex operational activities, primarily supporting PAC Life and Annuity funds, with additional coverage of selected M&G Investment Management funds and segregated mandates.

The role operates within established frameworks and procedures, exercising judgement to resolve issues, improve processes and support the Manager of Life

Key Accountabilities:

Operational delivery

  • Deliver high‑quality operational outcomes across Portfolio Services activities, including:
    • Fund and investment reporting
    • Solvency II and additional regulatory reporting
    • Cash and asset transfers
    • Inspecie transfers and fund transitions
    • Data quality monitoring and investigation
  • Ensure all outputs are accurate, complete and delivered to agreed timetables and service standards.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for assigned funds, processes or reporting areas.

Control, risk & quality

  • Take personal accountability for maintaining and enhancing controls within own area of responsibility.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve breaks, errors or incidents promptly, escalating where appropriate.
  • Support operational risk reduction through strong control execution, documentation and adherence to procedures.
  • Contribute to audit, assurance and regulatory queries, providing accurate evidence and responses.

Client & stakeholder support

  • Respond to Life Company and internal stakeholder queries clearly, accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Support day‑to‑day client relationship management through reliable service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Escalate themes or recurring issues impacting service quality or client outcomes.

Continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and documentation based on hands‑on operational experience.
  • Contribute to implementation of regulatory, organisational and strategic changes impacting Life Company Services.
  • Support standardisation and best‑practice adoption across the team

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong experience within Asset Management, Life Company or Investment Operations.
  • Proven expertise in fund reporting, cash and asset transfers, or similar complex operational activity.
  • Sound knowledge of Life and Annuity fund structures, assets and reporting requirements.
  • Broad understanding of operational controls, risk management and audit requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with consistent delivery against deadlines.
  • Confident user of operational systems and Excel.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting Solvency II reporting environments.
  • Exposure to CASS, client money and inspecie transfer activity.
  • Experience supporting audit, assurance or regulatory reviews.

Role level summary:

Experienced colleague: This is a senior analyst role with deep technical accountability for operational delivery and controls. The role does not have people management responsibility but plays a critical role in ensuring safe, accurate and scalable service delivery to Life Company stakeholders.
