The role is about:
As a SecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between IT operations and cybersecurity. You will focus on ensuring the security and reliability of the organization's infrastructure, systems, and applications by implementing, monitoring, and managing security controls. Working closely with Red and Blue Teams, you will proactively identify, respond to, and mitigate threats while driving automation and efficiency in security operations.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Reporting Line: Head of Digital Risk & Privacy

You will:

  • Design, implement, and manage security operations tools and solutions, including SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management systems.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
  • Collaborate with the Red Team to simulate attacks and improve detection and response capabilities.
  • Support incident response efforts by investigating, containing, and mitigating security incidents.
  • Automate repetitive security tasks and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Work with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
  • Perform regular security assessments of infrastructure and applications, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS and DORA.
  • Document security operations processes and create runbooks to standardize incident response procedures.
  • Stay up to date on the latest security technologies, trends, and threat intelligence to continuously improve SecOps capabilities.

What we need:

  • Proven experience of at least 1 - 5 years in security operations or related fields, with a strong technical background in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools, including SIEM platforms (e.g., FortiSiem), EDR solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks and analyze logs.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF) and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with Dev SecOps principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA CySA+, CEH, GCIH, CISSP, or AWS Security Specialty, are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
