At Eni, we are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor (Makueni Agrihub) to join Eni Natural Energies Kenya EPZ Ltd. (ENEK) in Makueni. You will be responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating the Agrihub’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) programme, overseeing laboratory quality systems, and ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures, quality standards, and operational requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to implement quality assurance activities that support the effective delivery of ENEK’s agricultural operations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate laboratory performance testing using samples from suppliers and commercial agencies.
  • Oversee sample collection and product testing to ensure quality compliance before receipt and storage.
  • Ensure products meet the company’s quality standards.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of quality inspections, tests, and results.
  • Perform testing in accordance with the Quality Control System.
  • Manage communications with external laboratory service providers.
  • Recommend improvements to procedures, standards, and equipment to enhance product quality.
  • Ensure quality processes are followed and provide training where required.
  • Manage laboratory inventories, including chemicals, reagents, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean, calibrate, maintain, and ensure the proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
  • Support production operations as required to meet operational targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safe working practices and procedures.
  • Analyse test results and implement corrective actions to prevent non-conforming products.
  • Maintain quality documentation, data control systems, and equipment calibration records.
  • Manage permits, certifications, compliance requirements, and quality audits.
  • Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, COAs, checklists, work instructions, and related records.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures and systems related to Agrihub operations.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Skills and experience required:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Process/Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Relevant QA/QC experience, preferably in a vegetable oil extraction plant or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and quality systems.
  • Basic Firefighting and HSE training (preferred).
  • Project management experience.
