Execute physical and paper energy trades, develop arbitrage and proprietary trading strategies, hedge exposures, and maximise P&L within risk limits. Analyse market fundamentals, macroeconomic trends, freight, refining margins, inventories, and geopolitical risks. The role supports end-of-day P&L and position reporting, exchange and clearing reconciliations, SOX and regulatory controls, audit evidence, and compliance with EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, and Dodd-Frank. It coaches junior analysts, serves as a senior escalation point, supports new product approvals, and leads automation, systems enhancements, testing, and change initiatives.

Provides commercially focused legal advice for a UK carbon capture and storage project and regulated entity. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial, real estate, planning, construction, financing, regulatory, government, and intra-group agreements; supporting M&A, disputes, company secretarial matters, compliance, and document management. The role also advises CCS affiliates on English law and supports project development, operations, consenting, financing, and regulatory compliance.
