Hello! We're Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.
At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.
We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.
We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.
Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.
Your Mission
At Teya, we are building the future of financial services for small businesses across Europe. Building a clear, trusted, and consistent external voice is central to that ambition. As an Associate in the Corporate and Regulatory Affairs team, you will play a key role in shaping Teya’s reputation and public presence with policymakers, regulators, media, and industry stakeholders.
This role sits at the intersection of public policy, regulatory affairs, and corporate communications. You will help ensure that Teya is visible, credible, and well understood externally by policymakers, regulators, and the media, supporting a steady cadence of corporate communications, public affairs, and thought leadership, while actively tracking regulatory developments and contributing to Teya’s engagement with regulators and industry bodies.
You will work closely with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Brand, Marketing, and Product, contributing to initiatives that build Teya’s profile, influence public debate, and strengthen its standing.
Responsibilities

Contribute to building and maintaining Teya’s external voice and reputation by supporting PR activity, media messaging, industry commentary, and thought leadership content.
Assist in managing relationships with journalists, industry commentators, policymakers, and trade bodies, including preparation for meetings, briefings, and events.
Monitor financial services policy and regulatory developments in the UK and Europe (including FCA, PRA, EBA, and ECB), translating them into clear insights that inform Teya’s regulatory positioning, external communications, and internal stakeholders.
Support advocacy, public policy, and regulatory engagement by contributing to position papers, consultation responses, and regulator-facing materials that reflect Teya’s strategic priorities.
Work with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to help shape Teya’s regulatory positions on emerging rules and consultations, ensuring they are coherent, well evidenced, and aligned with commercial priorities.
Coordinate inputs from internal teams to ensure consistency between regulatory positions, policy views, and external communications across channels.
