What you'll be doing:

  •  Assist the Central Maintenance team in supporting all aspects of CHP maintenance, overhaul and fault diagnosis.

  •  Undertake any other duties associated with CHP plant and general areas as directed by the Customer Account Manager.

  • Provide ‘hands on’ advanced mechanical and control system training to Service Engineers when required

  •  Support operational regions with in depth fault finding and optimisation of CHP engines, control systems and balance of plant. 

  • Provide technical assistance with internal/external failure reports and contribute to ‘Lessons Learnt’.

  • Carry out and support diagnostics through remote desktop software

  • Assist in specifying critical and spare parts to be held within the region to support first fix.

  • Take lead on small projects as required

  • Contribute to technical workshops and workflow sessions to drive continuous improvement   


What we're looking for:

  • Be conversant with the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment required to carry out engine servicing and repairs

  • Have qualifications and/ or experience on engine maintenance and the ability & desire to be trained by an engine manufacturer if required

  • Have sound knowledge in engineering practices and be conversant with the operation of a CHP plant

  • Gas Safe Accredited

  • Undertake weekend roster duties as required by management.

  • NVQ level 3 or Equivalent in an Engineering Discipline

  • In depth knowledge of CHP control systems and PLC’s

  • Driving license
