Product Owner

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Product Owner or a Business Analyst with product ownership growth ambitions with a strong background on Structured Products or exotic OTC strategies, data modelling, required documentation and very good knowledge of front office processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Products Manager to manage Jira boards, draft and refine tickets, and support developers in understanding the detailed implementation of requirements. You will be instrumental in translating complex topics from industry forums and client discussions into executable tasks for the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review term sheets or pricing requests and understand the needs and how to capture the data to extend our platform automation
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to manage and prioritize Jira boards, ensuring that all tasks and tickets are clearly defined and actionable.
• Draft detailed user stories, tickets, and technical specifications for developers, focusing on the implementation of structured products, market data integration, and financial technology solutions.
• Assist in the investigation and research of complex financial concepts, ensuring thorough understanding and clarity for the development team.
• Participate in industry forums and working groups, capturing insights and translating outcomes into concrete, executable tasks.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product management, and the development team to ensure that requirements are understood, clarified, and aligned with business objectives.
• Anticipate client and market needs by staying informed on industry trends, and proactively identify potential future requirements.
• Assist in the testing and validation of delivered features, ensuring they meet business requirements and are aligned with industry best practices.
• Provide analytical support and present insights to stakeholders for decision-making.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience on a desk of structured products issuance (buy-side or sell-side).
• Strong technical aptitude with experience working closely with developers on technical implementation.
• Ability to comprehend and translate complex financial concepts and discussions into actionable development tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Familiarity with Jira for task management, project tracking, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications in finance or technology is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with financial market data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG).
• Experience with financial modelling or quantitative analysis.
• Have developed / scripted in different languages
