This role sits within the Issuer Product function and supports the ongoing transformation and evolution of the technology, systems, and processes that underpin GEC services. A role you will love

The Product Owner plays a key role in turning product strategy into clearly defined, customer-focused outcomes. Working closely with the Product Lead, Engineering teams, business stakeholders, and end users, you will prioritise initiatives, define requirements, and drive the delivery of solutions that create both customer value and commercial impact.

This role is ideal for someone who can balance tactical delivery with strategic thinking, thrives in an agile environment, and embraces innovation. With a focus on continuous improvement and transformation, the Product Owner leverages modern technologies, including AI, automation, and evolving development practices, to enhance product outcomes, delivery effectiveness, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business objectives, and growth targets.
  • Translate customer jobs-to-be-done, business challenges, and opportunities into clearly defined, prioritised features, requirements, and backlog items.
  • Maintain a healthy, well-prioritised product backlog, ensuring delivery teams have clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and agile delivery teams to design and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet user and business needs.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, to quality standards, and achieve intended business outcomes.
  • Validate solution readiness and support successful adoption through launch, monitoring usage, customer satisfaction, and value realisation against agreed targets.
  • Gather, analyse, and apply customer insights, feedback, and usage data to inform product decisions, roadmap priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support a modern agile delivery model, promoting iterative development, rapid feedback loops, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities, improve team efficiency, and accelerate delivery.
  • Conduct and contribute to market, industry, and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for product innovation.
  • Utilise visual prototypes, data-driven insights, and collaborative design approaches to ensure solutions are customer-focused, commercially valuable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar product-focused role within a software or technology environment, working within Agile delivery frameworks, with a strong understanding of product development and delivery best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs, customer problems, and strategic objectives into prioritised requirements, user stories, and product backlogs.
  • Stakeholder management exposure to be able deliver successful product outcomes, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data, insights, and sound judgement to make informed decisions and design effective solutions.
  • Experience supporting the full product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering through to delivery, launch, adoption monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, operational teams, customers, and external partners.
  • Demonstrable focus on delivering measurable customer and business outcomes, rather than simply delivering outputs. Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for understanding user needs and delivering value-driven solutions.
  • Confident and considered decision-maker, able to take ownership and accountability for product decisions.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for technology, with an interest in leveraging AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve products, processes, and delivery effectiveness.

Desirable

  • Practical experience using AI tools and capabilities to enhance analysis, decision-making, collaboration, or delivery outcomes.
  • Experience working within a regulated, compliance-focused, corporate governance, or professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of Global Entity Compliance, Corporate Secretarial services, or related industry domains. (Not essential, but advantageous.)
