JOB FUNCTION

Reporting to the EMEA Head of Business & Portfolio Development, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of Product (inc. hardware, solutions, services, software and annuities) related launches and initiatives in the Western Europe & South African region.

This role will work cross-functionally with both Global Marketing and Sales to plan and carry out product portfolio related activities that align to the Sales & Marketing priorities and are designed to acquire, engage and accelerate demand for sales.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop comprehensive expertise in all product-related topics.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring a strategic approach to product phase-outs and replacements.
  • Plan, execute, and communicate product launches to ensure successful internal and external delivery.
  • Be the product spokesperson for meaningful events, trade shows, webinars and other platforms to promote Lexmark’s product offerings.
  • Communicate necessary product launch information to customers and sales teams to ensure smooth logistics and inventory management.
  • Provide ongoing support and updates to sales teams about new product features, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Identify potential additions or removals from the product portfolio by sub-region.
  • Provide guidance to Sales on product availability and replacement timelines.
  • Engage in Customer and Partner meetings to discuss product offerings and gather feedback.
  • Attend Global & EMEA Marketing calls and communicate relevant information to local Field Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Attend Sales Meetings with active engagement.
  • Act as the in-country reviewer for product collaterals to ensure accurate and appropriate placement.
  • Work with central teams during the pricing process to provide local market insights and positioning information.
  • Leverage market intelligence and competitive analysis to provide regular updates on market share, competitive dynamics, and positions.
  • Support and monitor product certification processes in collaboration with Global teams and associations to ensure timely availability.
  • Serve as the subject expert for the Sustainability CO2 calculator.
  • Assist with product logistics and set up for office showrooms to ensure it is updated with the latest products and solutions.
  • Assist with product logistics and set up for relevant marketing events.
  • Liaise with marketing channels and key account teams to address products with insufficient sales.
  • Track and report on defined KPIs for product marketing initiatives.
  • Provide input for promotions for products with high inventory but low forecast.
  • Review planning supply to identify and address any inadequacies.
  • Manage the pre-launch ordering and distribution of beta/eval units.

Periodic travel required (around 20-30%) when permitted.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years related B2B marketing experience: Product Marketing, Product Management, PR
  • Effective presentation skills, in-person or via webinar
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, Confident communicator and presenter
  • Team player
  • Some project management and cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite platform (D365 would be beneficial)
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Planning, project management and analytical skills
  • Budget management
  • Professional level of English language knowledge (verbal and written)
  • Fluency in Additional European language preferred (German, French)
