About the role

The Senior Product Manager: Workday Performance & Talent within the Enterprise Applications / HR, Legal & Compliance Systems team, which is part of the D&T CTO organisation, will work closely with HR business teams, Tech Product & Service teams, third party vendors and service providers to ensure proper functional design, implementation, and support for Tech solutions and first class tech enablement, standardisation, continuous improvement and compliance of end-to-end HR Tech functional operability.

The Senior Product Manager: Workday Performance & Talent will be accountable for leading & working with their product team to define, implement and optimize our Performance & Talent system (Workday) & any related systems (e.g., talent acquisition tools). They will possess strong HR business process & tech functional (Workday Talent & Performance Mgt; other TA tools) experience to be able to provide technical guidance and advice to the Head of HR, Legal & Compliance Tech, Product Directors/Managers & Experts and HR business process / delivery owners to ensure that HR solution functionality is fit for purpose, meets the priorities & requirements from our stakeholders (e.g. alignment to business process & solution architecture design principles) and deliver value to our end users. They will have technical experience in their area specific to their domain, be accountable for technical artifacts (such as system requirements, Tech continuity plans) and ensure full compliance with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements. They will also be responsible for working with Service Teams to manage change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates, in the production service and ensuring compliance.

This pivotal role will be a part of our Enterprise Applications Technology team, reporting directly to the Head of HR, Legal & Compliance systems.

Expected Skills & Experience

  • Being currently or previously certified in Workday Talent & Performance Mgt

  • Extensive experience in Workday Talent & Performance Mgt, Workday business processes (BP notifications, alerts, calculated field & rules)

  • Proven track record in successful product delivery, via Agile and waterfall delivery methods (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 or Scrum Inc. Product Owner)

  • Extensive experience in team management

  • Experience working with third parties in the delivery of working products. 

  • Experience of leading & working with teams across diverse countries and cultures effectively, within a large global FMCG or FMCH organisation.

  • Experience of managing change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates, in the production service and ensuring compliance

  • Experience of and exposure to Performance & Talent Management processes within the end-to-end HR & cross functional business processes

  • 8+ years’ experience of working with enterprise solutions in these areas:

  • Workday Talent & Performance Mgt, Workday business processes (BP notifications, alerts, calculated field & rules)

  • Other related Talent Acquisition/Mgt tools, such as Eightfold, Beamery

  • Other Workday modules/areas (e.g., Core HCM, Reporting, Compensation) are a plus.

  • Product/software development tools: A-ha, Jira is a plus.

  • Experience of ensuring Tech solutions are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g. SOX)

  • Experience of gathering business / system functional requirements and translate them into technical design specs, test scenarios/cases & documentation.

  • Experience of working on global deployments (Global / Localisation concept)

  • Experience of troubleshooting various system issues by being able to correctly identify the root cause and providing the technical fix, solution, or workaround.

  • Understanding of ITIL Frameworks and service management practices for a complex, global service

  • Degree education
