At Verto, we're on a mission to democratise global finance and empower businesses in Emerging Markets to reach the world. Founded by British-Nigerian entrepreneurs Ola Oyetayo and Anthony Oduu, our roots in Africa provided a firsthand understanding of the significant challenges businesses face with cross-border payments, ranging from illiquid currencies and high fees to slow transactions. This deep-rooted insight is why Africa remains a core focus, as we're committed to bridging the gap between emerging and developed markets and fostering global economic growth.

What started as an FX solution for the Nigerian Naira has evolved into a market-leading platform, enabling thousands of businesses to seamlessly transfer billions of dollars annually. We believe that where you do business shouldn’t determine your success or ability to scale. We're creating equal access to the easy payment and liquidity solutions that are already a given in developed markets.

We're not alone in realising this crucial need; we're backed by world-class investors including Y-Combinator, Quona, and MEVP. With Verto receiving the Milken-Motsepe Prize, appearing on CNBCs list of fastest growing UK companies, the Deloitte Fast 50 and Sifted’s fastest-growing UK tech companies, we are building a seamless cross-border payment future. Join us as we continue to grow and transform global finance.

We are looking for a Product Manager with experience managing B2B products, ideally within fintech, to help us define our product strategy and drive the execution of our roadmap. The focus will be on our core Global Payments and Foreign Exchange (FX) products, owning the vision for how businesses seamlessly convert currencies and execute cross-border transactions. You will be responsible for translating the complexities of international payment rails, liquidity, and FX pricing into a simple, efficient, and powerful platform.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: from discovery and strategy to defining requirements, launch, and iteration.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, treasury, operations, and go-to-market teams to define product requirements and deliver new features.

  • Conduct market analysis and customer research to identify user pain points and uncover new opportunities within the global payments and FX space, including new currency corridors, payment methods, and hedging products.

  • Create and maintain the product roadmap and backlog, writing clear user stories, epics, and product specifications.

  • Define and analyse key product metrics (KPIs) such as transaction success rates, settlement times, FX spreads, and slippage to measure success and inform the product strategy.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure features are delivered on time and to specification, making trade-offs where necessary.

What You Need:
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a track record of shipping successful B2B products (preferably in fintech, payments, or FX).

  • Deep understanding of the international payments and FX ecosystem. This includes cross-border payment rails (SWIFT, SEPA, local ACH), FX pricing models, liquidity management, hedging strategies, and currency risk.

  • Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and data analysis.

  • Experience with product discovery techniques, including customer interviews, data analysis, and market research.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate a clear product vision and strategy.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and making data-driven decisions.

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy industry is a strong plus.

Life at Verto (Benefits):
  • Competitive salary and equity package.

  • Opportunity to play a key role in building the financial backbone for global businesses.

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.

  • Generous paid time off and flexible working arrangements.

  • Dynamic and inclusive company culture.

Our Interview Process:

Step 1: Initial Call - A brief chat with our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your experience and interests.

Step 2: Hiring Manager Interview - Deeper dive into your skills and experience relevant to the role.

Step 3: Panel Interview - Present your case study to the team and discuss how you'd apply your approach to the role.

Step 4: Offer - We aim to make a decision quickly after the final interview.
