CLS recognises Procurement capability has a growing potential to contribute to cost management capability as well as improving the value from our vendors. Over the last 12 months, a number of changes have been implemented to help enhance the maturity of the Procurement function (from a greenfield environment). This role is to support the team , and has a particular focus in carrying out contract reviews and contract renewals, as well as helping CLS’s Procurement team to carry out an array of procurement activities during their transformation journey. 

 

Job purpose - major duties and responsibilities of the job

CLS are establishing a new operating model for Procurement, and will need the Procurement Manager to:

- Support the team in delivering day to day Procurement activities

- Process contract renewals.

- Carry-out contract negotiations

- Process purchase requisitions

- respond to, and adhere to, new and existing regulatory guidelines and initiatives, enabling CLS to effectively assess and manage the risk introduced by engaging with third parties during the course of executing business activities.

- help support the Strategic Procurement agenda through their data and analytical skillset.


The selected Procurement Manager will be involved in supporting the team across all spend categories

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, ensure that procurement policy and processes are being adhered to, and that best practise is delivered.
  • Support the Procurement Lead in the delivery of procurement activities relating to all spend areas.
  • Support the procurement lead on complex negotiations to optimise overall commercial position.
  • Implement/ Renew contracts in accordance with the end-to-end procurement process.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are fully documented and followed.
  • Deliver value through cost savings, value generation, and demand management.
  • Carry out contract remediation activities.
  • Monitoring and reporting against agreed KPIs / Dashboards/ Trackers / Spend Reports (as and when required).
  • Process Purchase Requisitions.
  • Cleanse Data in system


Knowledge, skills and abilities - competencies required for successful job performance

  • Expert in contract reviews – ability to quickly understand, review and interpret contract clauses, and negotiate an optimal contractual position for CLS.
  • Efficiency – Ability to review, negotiate and implement a high volume of contracts within a short period of time.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and short deadlines.
  • Expert on MS Excel. Ability to help elevate the quality of reporting across the Procurement team.
  • Very comfortable with data analytics. Ability to use data to support an ideas, or identify new opportunities and add value.
  • Experience working in specific Procurement systems (Coupa, Ariba, SAP or Oracle).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to produce relevant and valid reports.
  • Good knowledge of Procurement best practices,
  • |Ability to multitask and support the team across a number of projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with large number of stakeholders.
  • Ability to approach problems enthusiastically and confidently to drive tasks through to completion.
  • Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in a Procurement role.


Qualifications / certifications

  • Degree educated preferred
  • Expertise in interpreting and reviewing contracts is a MUST
  • Ability to demonstrate tangible experience from previous role.
  • Expertise of Microsoft Excel .
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight timelines.
  • Experience in Procurement is a MUST.
  • Suitable for someone wishing to develop their career in a financial services organization.
