An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Principal Account Manager within Honeywell UOP’s European Sales organization. In this role, you will have a distinctive and prominent opportunity to spearhead sales initiatives and oversee all facets of client engagement with key strategic accounts in the refining and petrochemical sectors, primarily within Northern Europe. As a Principal Account Manager, you will be in charge of building and strengthening relationships and deeply understanding customers’ needs to identify, offer and provide the most suitable products and solutions. You will define sales and growth strategy toward key customers while aligning with critical business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow Honeywell UOP’s bookings and revenue generation within assigned accounts
  • Relentless focus on conducting business with the highest degree of integrity and compliance. 
  • Create and execute strategic account plans that align with client objectives and company goals
  • Develop, strengthen and manage relationships with existing Honeywell UOP’s clients in Northern Europe
  • Drive opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle: Identify potential opportunities, clarify bidding requirements, formulate a comprehensive sales strategy, engage and align technical sales resources, submit proposals, successfully negotiate and close deals, collaborate with order management for handover to manufacturing/execution teams
  • Ensure Honeywell UOP’s clients in the region will have the best possible experience throughout the sales process
  • Develop forecasts and revenue projections for catalysts and adsorbents pertaining to assigned accounts on a rolling 18 month basis
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in either Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to develop and implement effective account plans
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
  • Proficiency in time management and the capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English 
  • Sales/commercial or Technical experience in the refining & petrochemical business environment
  • Technical knowledge in the refining industry
  • Understanding of the cultural background and business atmosphere in Northern Europe
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of your time
  • The role will be home office based in Northern Europe

WE VALUE

  • Specialization/master’s in the refining/petrochemical businesses
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Technical knowledge in the petrochemical industry
  • Proficiency in German (spoken and written)
