Job Description:
Department
- Power Analytics / Energy Market Analytics
Main responsibilities
- Proactively monitor market fundamentals, policy changes, and news flows, converting insights into assumptions or scenario for trading and risk management.
- Working closely with Power Analytics team, maintain the in-house pan-European Stack and statistical models for Italy and Iberia.
- Drive initiatives to improve model accuracy (e.g., back-testing, error analysis) and extend modelling framework.
- Identify actionable trade ideas.
- Contribute to weekly analyst meetings, participate in cross-functional meetings (e.g. with Transmission and Regulation).
- Guide the front office IT team in acquiring new data sources.
- Liaise with the other desks.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to support PPA or origination deals and to other teams within analytics (e.g. gas analytics), review external analysis.
Experience required
- Experience in the Italian power market in a trading environment beneficial. Ideally some Spanish experience.
